Identified as the 91st Bomb Group, based at RAF Bassingbourn, England.
Letters "DF" visible on the fuselage identify the 324th Bomb Squadron.

Born and raised in Bronx, NY, Herbert Weintraub has built a reputation for being one of the top-rated artists in his field. Herbert Weintraub’s work represents New York City as it was in the middle part of the 20th century, as well as rural landscapes and seascapes of some of our country’s most beautiful surroundings. Through his use of oil and acrylics, Herbert Weintraub prides himself in creating collectible original paintings. Each work draws from a rich history of his personal experiences and tours throughout the United States. Herbert Weintraub studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City . His numerous awards include the prestigious Certificate of Merit from the Salmagundi Club, New York City’s oldest and most distinguished art club. Among his awards are the First Prize Atlantic City Boardwalk Art Show, First Prize Las Olas (FL) Art Fair, First Prize Newport (RI) Outdoor Art Festival, Artist Choice Award, and First Prize Oyster Bay New York. From Hollywood, CA, to the steps of Washington, DC, Herbert Weintraub’s work has been collected by sports journalist Howard Cosell, British actor Edward Woodward, rock star Dion, Connecticut Senator Lowell Weicher, and New York Governor Hugh Carey, as well as Pepsi Cola and IBM. His work has been commissioned by Citibank in New York City as a gift to actor Robert De Niro. Some of his works have been presented as gifts to film producer Richard Donner and actress/director Penny Marshall. Herbert Weintraub is a resident of Boynton Beach, FL, and keeps a studio in Endicott, NY, during the summer. His work can be seen at art fairs throughout the East Coast.
